In the vast ocean, real-time monitoring of wave and tide changes is crucial for disaster prevention and early warning, marine scientific research, and shipping safety. However, the complex and ever-changing marine environment means that traditional wired communication, limited by distance and cabling costs, often cannot cover vast sea areas. To address this, our company's Wave And Tide Sensor employs advanced satellite communication technology (Satellite Communication System), achieving true global data interconnection.
This sensor is equipped with a high-precision MEMS inertial measurement unit (IMU) and a pressure sensing system, collecting core parameters such as sea surface displacement, wave height, period, direction, and tide level in real time. The data is automatically processed and compressed using a built-in data fusion algorithm. The filtered and optimized observation results are then transmitted to a ground receiving center or cloud server via the Satellite Uplink Module, enabling remote and seamless data transmission.

At the communication level, the Wave And Tide Sensor uses a multi-mode satellite connectivity solution, compatible with international satellite systems such as Iridium, BeiDou, and Inmarsat. The Iridium network ensures data uploads even in areas with no signal coverage, such as polar regions and the deep sea; while the high-precision positioning function of the BeiDou system guarantees centimeter-level positional accuracy for the sensor even during drifting or deployment. This multi-system complementary communication structure allows the device to maintain a stable data link even in extreme weather or on long-distance ocean voyages.
Furthermore, our company has incorporated low-power satellite communication protocols into the system design. By optimizing transmission intervals and data compression algorithms, the sensor can achieve global data synchronization with extremely low power consumption, significantly extending the device's runtime. This design, combined with our energy-saving power supply system, enables the Wave And Tide Sensor to operate continuously for months or even longer in marine environments without external power.
All uploaded data is automatically integrated into our remote monitoring platform, allowing users to view real-time tide level changes, wave spectrum data, and device operating status via web or mobile devices. Researchers can use this data to analyze wave energy propagation patterns, while port management can promptly grasp tide level trends, providing a basis for ship entry and exit scheduling.
