Our Clever Buoy product is equipped with an inertial navigation system based on a nine-axis MEMS inertial measurement unit (IMU), combined with proprietary ocean dynamics algorithms, to achieve high-precision measurement of wave parameters, including wave height, period, wave direction, energy spectrum, and directional spectrum. By calculating acceleration, velocity, and attitude changes, the system eliminates cumulative errors, ensuring stable and accurate long-term observation of wave parameters.

 

In terms of intelligence, the Clever Buoy utilizes an STM32 microprocessor as its core control unit, offering low power consumption and high data processing efficiency. It automatically identifies sea surface conditions and autonomously adjusts sampling frequency and monitoring mode, enabling adaptive data collection and analysis, from calm swells to complex waves. Even when wind speeds increase or wave heights change suddenly, the system can correct data deviations in real time to ensure the reliability of monitoring results.

To achieve true unmanned operation, Clever Buoy is equipped with a highly efficient energy management system. The device can be powered by solar energy and features an extremely low standby current, averaging less than 50 mA, ensuring stable power supply during extended offshore operation. Combined with a corrosion- and impact-resistant housing, it can operate in salt spray, high humidity, and extreme sea conditions without requiring frequent maintenance.

 

For data transmission, Clever Buoy supports multiple communication methods, including satellite links, 4G/5G communications, and wireless data relays, enabling real-time monitoring data to be uploaded to a cloud-based monitoring platform. Users can view wave energy spectrum, directional spectrum, and other key indicators via a remote terminal, enabling truly remote visual monitoring and early warning.
