The core structure of a double diaphragm pump consists of two diaphragms, a valve system, inlet and outlet check valves, and a pump chamber. The valve system controls the alternating flow of air into the left and right air chambers, driving the diaphragms to move back and forth, thus completing the suction and discharge cycle of the liquid.

 

Unlike motor-driven pumps, double diaphragm pumps do not rely on electrical power, making them suitable for applications where explosion-proof requirements are high or power supply is limited. Because the liquid does not come into contact with the driving mechanism, the possibility of leakage due to seal failure is reduced, making it more stable when handling chemical media.

In practical use, double diaphragm pumps have a certain self-priming capability and generally do not require additional priming before starting.
